1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when you visit the site. Cookies help your visit run smoothly and remember your preferences.
Besides cookies, Orbecta uses similar techniques such as local storage (browser storage). In this statement we refer to all of these as 'cookies' for readability.
2. Which cookies does Orbecta use?
We use exclusively strictly necessary cookies and local storage items. These are exempt from consent under the GDPR and the Dutch Telecommunications Act because they are necessary to deliver the service you have requested.

- Third-party trackers from advertising networks;
- Profiling cookies for behaviour on other websites.
4. Privacy-friendly statistics
For anonymous website statistics, Orbecta uses a European, privacy-friendly analytics solution that:
- Sets no cookies — so no consent is required;
- Collects no personal data — only aggregated page visits;
- Anonymises IP addresses immediately — we cannot identify you;
- Processes data within the EU;
- Complies with GDPR, e-Privacy and CCPA.
5. Third-party services
When you make an online payment via Orbecta, our payment provider sets its own cookies to prevent fraud and process the payment. These cookies are placed exclusively on the payment page, not on orbecta.com itself.
6. Managing cookies
You can manage cookies and local storage items at any time via your browser settings:
Please note: if you block the functional cookies, the Platform will not work correctly. You will not be able to sign in or retain your preferences.
